| Bid Comments | All questions concerning this solicitation must be submitted through BidSync. Only answers issued through the BidSync system or issued via an authorized and properly issued addendum shall be the official position of the State.
Bid Security: A bid security in the amount equal to at least 5% of the bid is required. Bid securities may be submitted one of four ways: 1) scan the bid security documents to an electronic file and upload it to BidSync 2) deliver the security in person 3) deliver the security by mail 4) deliver the security by fax (801-538-3882) When submitting in person, by mail, or by fax, the bid security must be delivered prior to the bid due date and time and the bid number must be included. The address for hand or mail delivery is: Division of Purchasing, 3150 State Office Building, Capitol Hill, Salt Lake City, Utah 84114. The special paper used for original bond forms may show a “VOID" watermark or similar security feature when the bond is scanned or faxed. This is acceptable. Should read: Pre-bid Meeting MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETINGS WILL BE HELD FOR ALL BIDDERS ON TUESDAY, JULY 28, 2009 AT 10:00 A.M. AND ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 29, 2009 AT 10:00 A.M. Meet at the parking lot of the Tintic Café located on the eastern edge of the town of Eureka, across from the Tintic High School. Meetings are expected to last approximately 4 hours and will involve driving and hiking over rugged terrain. High clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended. Added on Aug 3, 2009: CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS North Tintic West Project Reclamation Construction AMR/049/903 Change to Chapter 5, Appendix A: Site Descriptions & Mine Closure Schedule Change specifications of closure method and estimated quantity for site 3100311VO003. Closure Method/Comment Grade Beam Grate w/ I-Beam 31’ x 29’; construct using 2 (two) rolled steel W8 x 15 I-beam supports on approximate 10’ centers as specified in Section 0253, Chapter 4 and Drawing 15, Chapter 6 of Construction Specifications; move collapsed headframe aside. Estimated Quantity 900 sf Added on Aug 5, 2009: This addendum is to attach a list of those in attendance at the pre-bid meeting for both days. |
